How Can Musicians Perform? - Please
read carefully.
There are
about 80 spots available, and we
typically get hundreds of requests to
play.
There are three ways for
artists to play at Winterfolk.
1.
By
Invitation of Winterfolk Artistic
Selection Committee: The
majority of artists performing at
Winterfolk will be selected and hired by
a
festival
artistic committee
,specifically set up for that purpose.
(We don't have a dedicated Artistic
Director this year). If you want to play
at Winterfolk, and have not been hired
by Nov 15, 2009, then we recommend you apply
for a showcase.
2. Apply
for A Showcase:
Showcase Application
(8 spots) -
Winterfolk is committed to offer
performance opportunities and public
exposure to new or emerging artists, and
all artists - regardless of prior
festival experience. Showcase
applications will be evaluated by a
dedicated team personally selected by
the festival director. Showcase
submissions are outside the realm of
the artistic director.
We will
be only be accepting submissions
exclusively through
Sonicbids
online this year, and not
via mail or drop box. Details are posted
here
Showcase Application
3.
Participate With our Community Partners:
Winterfolk has reserved several stages
for several community music
organizations. Participation details
will be posted soon.
