Speaking of good deeds through music ...
singer-songwriter Brian Gladstone has founded The Association of Artists
for a Better World. The organization's mission is to encourage awareness
of and a venue for artistic expression on social cultural and ecological
issues. To reach this goal, Artists for a Better World is putting together
compilation CDs to benefit non-profit peace organizations. The first CD,
Peace Songs for a Better World, has been completed, but they will be
accepting submissions for their second release Songs for a Better Planet
(in association with Earthday Canada) until November 30, 2004. All genres
are welcome as are submissions from every part of the world. Ten songs
will be selected for the April 2005 release.
